How Does the Program Work?

We utilize various interactive learning techniques such as:  visual aids, songs, discussions, word puzzles, memorization, games, and contests to teach basic Bible lessons. Prizes and incentives are offered to make our curriculum fun and stimulating for the students.

Who Teaches Released Time?

Our teachers and assistants come from a variety of local churches. Our teaching staff includes fun loving retired school teachers, pastors, and other church leaders who have participated in our training program.

What are Students Taught?

Students are taught from a curriculum that gives them an overview of the Bible’s Old and New Testaments. We emphasize personal application of biblical truths for building character and age-appropriate moral development. Students will learn about the love of God, the need for Wisdom, Trust, Honesty, Loyalty, Truth, Patience, Kindness and Critical thinking!

We believe the Bible is the only perfect guide for our lives.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

What is the purpose of Released Time?

The purpose of Released Time is to introduce Jesus Christ to the students so they can learn of His saving grace.  With weekly Bible study classes the students will develop a respect and reverence for God as well as respect for parents, teachers and peers.

Who Funds Released Time?

Released Time classes are offered free of charge to all public school students who enroll.

Released Time organizations rely solely on the financial support and participation of local churches and concerned individuals. This ministry to public school students is sustained by donations.

Each year we have two opportunities to encourage support. In the fall, we have a fundraiser Kick-Off Dinner and Silent Auction. In the winter, we have a breakfast at Applebee’s where we receive 50% of the total earnings.

When & Where are RT Classes Held?

Classes must be held off of school property and without public school funding or endorsement.  Adult escorts meet the students at the school site and walk them to a nearby home or church. Classes are held October through May, once a week on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for one hour
